& Breakfast Colle Sisto is idyllically situated in Ateleta in
the Italian Abruzzi.
Colle Sisto opened for business in the summer of 2008, its three
high-class rooms offering alpine comfortableness in a privileged
location. Like a hotel, but with more personal warmth and privacy.
The breakfast room and terrace lure you with their traditional coziness
and typical regional specialties. Authenticity, hospitality and
nature converge here in one of Italy’s most beautiful, green
and up-coming regions.
B&B Colle Sisto is located in the mountain village Ateleta among
its 1200 inhabitants. Elio Donatelli, who runs Colle Sisto with
his wife Kerstin, was born in Ateleta. For 25 years they owned and
operated the Italian restaurant Da Elio in Wiesbaden, Germany …
until they emigrated (back) to Ateleta in the summer of 2007.
You will find Colle Sisto at a beautiful, quiet spot in the middle
of Ateleta. The village is about a one-hour’s drive from Pescara
airport and lies about 700 meters above sea level. Driving time
from Rome is about 2 ½ hours; busses also leave Rome regularly
for Ateleta. The village is idyllically located: in 20 minutes by
car you can reach breath-taking heights 1800m above sea level, or,
driving in the other direction, the Adrian coast and the sea. In
other words, there are many ways to spend your vacation in the Abruzzi
